No. 1633 (explanation Of State Sheet 1958 Number 68)

EXPLANATION
GOVERNMENT REGULATION NO. 40 YEARS 1958
ABOUT
NATIONAL FLAG OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA.

GENERAL EXPLANATION.

., since 1945 in article 35 of the Constitution of the State of the Republic of Indonesia written that the Flag of the State of Indonesia is the White Red and the Indonesian National Committee in an announcement dated Jakarta 3 October 1945 saying that The flag of the flag was 3 times 2 " and passed the flag on the flag, until it was not yet held in other rules of the Flag of State.
., because in practice the use of the National Flag is often not aligned with its position, since the lack of a general understanding of the nature and meaning of the Nationality Flag, then to expand and deepen this sense of need. held the Government Regulation which contained educational provisions, especially in the order and love of the nation and the homeland.

EXPLANATION OF THE SECTION BY SECTION.

Section 1
.,, Perscales of this size are set 2 X 3, in accordance with the announcement of the National Committee of October 3, 1945 at the top.
It needs to be explained here that the red by the handover is red, so it's not red, it's red, pink or pink.

Section 2
.,
., a., a. In accordance with the establishment that the National Flag is the coat of arms of the State, the use of the National Flag at the residence is restricted to the supreme ruler.
., b. Regarding the buildings of the country, the foundation of the building was more widespread than the suba in the bag, because the buildings were the highest equipment of the State of the Union.
Given the balance of the measure in section 1, there is only one measure to keep the National Flag on these places, which is two meters wide and three meters long.
The fixed size was the daidetonation because it was very practical for the manufacture and granting of concerned agencies as well as the fixed size to be a hold in the distribution along with the foreign national flag.
In order to maintain the honor of the National Flag, the material must be a strong, unscrured fabric.

Section 3
.,, the size of the National Flag mounted elsewhere must be aligned to the state of the state, which is the big-small house, the narrow-page-the-page, the low-place, small-place marches, the vehicles and so on, thus satisfying the view.

Section 4
., doesn't require an explanation.

Section 5
.,
.,, (1) Although what is specified in this section has been contained in the considerans and has also been described in the following sections, however it is good to determine instructively in this section of the essence of the rule entirely.
.,, (2) Because each person should respect the National Flag, then it is contrary to this principle if the National Flag is used to salute someone.
Wave-waving with a small flag at the time of the march or at the time of picking up a magnifier does not include this ban, as it is not a way of giving a greeting but a statement of excitement.

Section 6
.,
.,, (1) This verse contains the general rule, which is for all the widening. On the night the flag is not flown because at night the widening is not the general concern that it is worth, so it does not mean and therefore no need.
.,, (2) This paragraph contains an exception. This deviation in question had occurred in the proclamation of 17 August 1945.
At that time the flag of the Nationality waved through the night, the rain did not rain for a time not specified. These exceptions can be held in order to circulate patriotism. This is th center;"> Section 32
In the case of foreign ships entering or anchorage the port of Indonesia, the National Flag is mounted on the front-line ships.

Section 33
At the time of mourning as referred to in section 8, the Nationality Flag is installed:
.,, a) half-mast, if the flag is in the usual state of the embrited flagpole;
