REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA WITH PAPUA NEW GUINEA

PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

Weigh: a.  that as a follow-up to the implementation of the Basic Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia with the Government of Papua New Guinea about the Border Set-arrangement which had been signed in Jakarta on 17 December 1979 and has been passed with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 1980, it is seen that it is necessary to accommodate and resolve any issues arising out of the Basic Agreement.
B.  that for that purpose on. The letter of a above needs to be formed a Committee on the Settlement of the Border Area of Indonesia with Papua New Guinea;

Remembering: 1. Article 4 of the paragraph (1) and Article 11 of the Basic Law of 1945;

DECIDED

SET: THE DECISION OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ESTABLISHMENT COMMITTEE ON THE ISSUE OF THE BORDERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA WITH

Section 1
The Committee on the Settlement of Issues of the Border Area of the Republic of Indonesia with Papua New Guinea, subsequently in the Presidential Decree is called the Committee, is based in the Department of the Interior.

Section 2
The committee has the following task:
1. Accommodate and resolve border area issues arising under the presence of the Basic Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of Papua New Guinea on the Governing Borders in a manner as set in the Agreement. The agreement.
2. Submit Suggestions to the Government on how to resolve the problem of border areas that are outside the framework of the Approval on a letter a.
3. Organing a fixed and orderly discussion on how to resolve the problem of border areas in order to handle the integrated development of the border area of the Republic of Indonesia in Propinsi Irian Jaya, to be applied in regional development.

Section 3

(1) The organizational structure of the Committee consists of:
a.   The Minister of the Interior or the appointed official, as the Chairman, is arrested Member;
B.   Security Minister of the Security/Commander of the Armed Forces, or appointed official, as Chairman of I, arrested Member;
C.   Minister of Foreign Affairs or appointed officials, as Chairman of I I, Duplicate Members
D.  An official appointed by the Minister of the Interior and based in the Department of the Interior, as Secretary, has a Member;
e.  An official appointed by the Minister of Security/Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and a position in the Department of Security-Security, as Secretary I, Duplicate Members;
f.   An officer of the eselon I was appointed by the Interior Minister. Country, as Member
G.   An eselon I official appointed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as Member;
h.   An eselon I official appointed by the Minister of Defense Security/Commander, Armed Forces, as a Member;
i.   An eselon officer I was appointed by the Minister of Justice, as a Member
J.   An eselon I official appointed by the Minister of Labour and Transmigration, as a Member;
No,   An eselon officer I was appointed by the Minister of Agriculture, as a Member;
I.   An eselon I official appointed by the Minister of Public Works, as a Member
M.  An eselon officer I was appointed by the Minister of Health, as a Member
N.   An eselon I official appointed by the Minister/State Secretary, as Member
O.   An eselon officer I was appointed by the Minister of Transportation, as a Member;
p.   An eselon I official appointed by the Information Minister, as Member.;
Q.  Governor of the Head of the Irian Jaya Level, as a Member;
R.   Miiliter Regional Commander XVIT/Cendrawasih., as Member;
It's   Officials or officials of the Department/Institution deemed necessary in accordance with the problems encountered,

(2) The Minister in question may appoint a replacement member.
(3) To smooth out the implementation of the Panitia duties, the Minister of the Interior. formed the Committee of the Committee of Panitia.

Section 4

In carrying out the task of the Panitia is responsible to the Minister of the Interior.

Section 5

(1) The Panitia may form the Sub-sub Panitia or the Adhoc Committee which is considered necessary.
(2) At the suggestion of the Technical Department, the Committee may form the Technical Committee-deemed necessary to deal with specific issues related to the respective functions of the Technical Department.

Section 6

(1) The charge of the Panitia is charged to the Department of the Interior Shopping Budget.
(2) The costs of the Committee of the Technical Committee in Article 5 of the paragraph (2) are charged to the Technical Department's Shopping Budget in question and coordinated by the Minister of the Interior as chairman of the Panitia.
(3) The matters concerning financing came into effect since the 1982/1983 Budget Year

Section 7

(1) In carrying out its activities Panitia entered into coordination with the Coordinating Committee on the Settlement of the National Area and the Marine Base (PANKORWILNAS).
(2) With the formation of this Panitia, all of the existing Panitia in the Technical Department, which handle and deal with the Irian Jaya border issue, are adapted to the Presidential Decree.

Section 8

This President ' s decision comes into effect at the set date.
