NEW YEAR OF IMLEK DAY
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,
Weigh: a. that the establishment of religious activities, beliefs, and customs, on its blessing is an inseparable part of human rights;
B. that the Chinese New Year is a tradition of hereditary Chinese society in various regions of Indonesia;
c. that in connection with the letter a and the letter b, is seen needing to set the Lunar New Year ' s Day as National Day;
Remembering: 1. Section 4 of the paragraph (1) of the Basic Law of 1945;
2. Presidential Decree Number 6 Year 2000 on Revocation Of President ' s Presidential Instruct Number 14 of 1967 on Religion, Trust, and Chinese Customs;
DECIDED:
SET: THE PRESIDENT 'S DECISION ON THE NEW YEAR OF IMLEK' S DAY.
Section 1
Establish the Lunar New Year ' s Day as National Day.
Section 2
This President ' s decision comes into effect at the set date.
