Back REGULATION of the MINISTER of LAW and HUMAN RIGHTS REPUBLIC of INDONESIA number: m. 05-IZ. 01 in 2006 about the USE of SMART CARDS/ELECTRONIC CARD in the PROCESS of IMMIGRATION INSPECTION at IMMIGRATION CHECKPOINTS with the GRACE of GOD ALMIGHTY the MINISTER of LAW and HUMAN RIGHTS REPUBLIC of INDONESIA,.,, Considering: a. that in order to improve service and traffic control person and from outside the region Indonesia need to utilize the latest technology in the field of Biometric-enabled advanced technology that can be integrated into SIMKIM in the review process Immigration Immigration Checks in place;
.,, b. that to smooth traffic of people, it was seen necessary to expand. the use of Smart Card Electronic Card/integrated network in the region of Riau Province to apply in the entire territory of Indonesia;

DECIDED:.,, define: REGULATION of the MINISTER of LAW and HUMAN RIGHTS REPUBLIC of INDONESIA ABOUT the USE of SMART CARDS/ELECTRONIC CARDS in IMMIGRATION PROCEEDINGS in IMMIGRATION CHECKPOINTS.
Section 1.,, (1) SMART CARD/electronic Card hereinafter referred to as the Electronic Information System for Immigration Card (EIS-I CARD) is an electronic card that contains identity data and fingerprints and iris or of the holder where the data is used as verification on immigration proceedings conducted at the Immigration Checkpoints.
.,, (2) the Immigration Checkpoints is the Immigration Checkpoints have been equipped with the EIS-I CARD reader.
.,, (3) further Provisions regarding the Immigration Checkpoints as in paragraph (2) subject to the Regulations the Director General of immigration.
Article 2 of the EIS-I CARD is given to: (1) a citizen of Indonesia; and (2) foreign nationals.

Article 3 (1) EIS-I CARD applies the longest 12 (twelve) months;.,, (2) the EIS-I CARD can be used at Immigration Checkpoints as stipulated in article 1 paragraph (2).

Article 7 at the time of ministerial regulation is applicable, the decision of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia Number m. 05-IZ. 01 in 1994 on the use of Smart cards/Electronic Card in the process of Examination of immigration in some places the immigration Examination come within the integrated network in the province of Riau and some change, revoked and declared no longer valid.
