IN THE IMMIGRATION EXAMINATION PROCESS
AT THE IMMIGRATION CHECKPOINT

WITH THE GRACE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD

MINISTER FOR LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

.,, weighed: a. that in order to improve the service and supervision of people's traffic from and out of the region Indonesia needs to leverage the latest technology in the field of Biometric with the support of advanced technology that can be integrated into the SIMKIM in Immigration examination process at the Immigration Examination;
., b. that for the traffic of the person's traffic, it is seen to be necessary to expand. use of Smart Card/Electronic Card in the integrated network area of Riau Province to apply throughout the Indonesian region;
., c. that based on consideration as in letter a and letter b, need to be established by the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia on the use of Smart Card/Electronic Card In the Process of Examination of Immigration in the Immigration Examination Site;

.,, Setting: REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA ON THE USE OF SMART CARD/ELECTRONIC CARDS IN THE PROCESS OF AN IMMIGRATION CHECK ON THE IMMIGRATION CHECKPOINT.

Section 1
., (1) SMART CARD/Email The next Electronic Information System for Immigration Card (EIS-I CARD) is a self-contained electronic card and the fingerprint data and or iris of the holder in which the data is. to be used as a verification of the immigration check process conducted at the Immigration Examination.
.,, (2) The Site of Immigration Examination is a Immigration Examination Site which has been equipped with EIS-I CARD reader machines.
., (3) Further provisions on the Site of Immigration Examination as in paragraph (2) are governed with the Regulation of the Director General of Immigration.

Section 2
EIS-I CARD given to:
(1) Indonesian Citizen; and
(2) Foreign Citizen.

Section 3
(1) EIS-I CARD is valid for at least 12 (twelve) months;
.,, (2) EIS-I CARD can be used on Immigration Examination as referred to in Article 1 of paragraph (2).

Section 4
Computer reports authorized by the Immigration Officer as a result of the EIS-I CARD use of the EIS-I CARD reader are as evidence and substitute for the departure of the departure sign and/or the acceptance of the EIS-I holder's travel mail. CARD.

Section 5
EIS-I CARD holders are required to carry and display national passports or travel letters if requested by the Immigration Officer who is in charge and must meet other requirements that apply to him to enter or outside the Indonesian territory.

Section 6
The provisions of the form, requirements, expenditure and use of EIS-I CARD as well as other matters related to the implementation of this Regulation, are further set up with the Immigration General Director Regulation.

Section 7
At the time of the Ordinance of this Minister, the Decree of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia Number M. 05-IZ.01.02 of 1994 on the use of Smart Card/Electronic Card In the Process of Immigration Examination at several Immigration Examination Places is located in the United States. Integrated Network in the Riau Propinsi and some changes, revoked and declared no longer applicable.

Section 8
The Minister ' s rules are beginning to apply at the set date.
