REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA NUMBER PER.08/MEN/VII/2010

ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT OF SELF-PROTECTION

WITH THE GRACE OF GOD ALMIGHTY LABOR MINISTER AND TRANSMIGRATION

REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

Menating : a. that as the implementation of the provisions of Article 3, Section 4 of the paragraph (1), Article 9, Section 12, Article 13, and Section 14 of the Number 1 Act of 1970 on the Occupational Safety need to be set about the instrument of self-protection;

b. that based on the consideration as intended on the letter a need to be governed by the Regulation of the Minister;

DECIDED: Establishing: LABOR MINISTER REGULATION AND

TRANSMIGRATION ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT OF SELF-PROTECTION. Article 1

In this Minister's Rule referred to: 1. The next Self-Protection Tool (APD) is an APD device that

Article 2 (1) The employers are required to provide an APD for workers/labor at work. (2) The APD as referred to in paragraph (1) must conform to the Standard

National Indonesia (SNI) or the applicable standard. (3) The APD as referred to in paragraph (1) is required to be provided by the businessman

for free of course. Section 3

(1) APD as referred to in Article 2 includes: a. Head protector; b. Eye and face protection; c. patron of the ear; d. The respiration of the respiratory and its equipment; e. hand protection; and/or f. footwear.

(2) In addition to APD as referred to in paragraph (1), including APD: a. Protective clothing; b. Protective tools fall in individuals; and/or c. buoy.

(3) The type and function of the APD as referred to in paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) are listed in this Order of the Regulation of the Minister.

Section 4 (1) APD is mandatory at the worksite where:

a. created, attempted, used or used by machines, aircraft, tool tools, equipment, or installations that may cause accidents, fire or detonation;

b. created, processed, used, used, traded, transported or stored materials or items that could explode, flammable, corrosive, toxic, incur infection, high temperature or low-temperature;

c. worked on construction, repair, treatment, cleaning or demolition of houses, buildings or other buildings including water buildings, ducts or tunnels under the ground and so on or where the preparatory work is done;

d. conducted agricultural ventures, plantations, forest openings, forest works, wood processing or other forest results, farms, fisheries and health courts;

e. performed by mining and processing of rocks, gas, oil, geothermal, or other minerals, both on the surface, in the earth and at the bottom of the water;

f. conducted transporting goods, animals or humans, both on the mainland, through tunnels, on the surface of the water, in water or in the air;

g. It's been working unloading cargo on ships, boats, docks, docks, stations, airports and warehouses;

h. done diving, retrieval of objects and other jobs in the water;

i. done a job at an altitude above ground or water level;

j. done work under air pressure or high or low temperature;

n. done by disposal or destruction of garbage or waste; o. conducted using a transmitter, broadcasting or telecommunications receipt

radio, radar, television, or telephone; p. Education, coaching, trial, inquiry or research

that uses technical tools; q. generated, altered, collected, stored, distributed or

channeled in electricity, gas, oil or water; and r. hosted recreation that uses equipment, electrical installation or

mechanics. (2) Employment and Safety Supervisors

Work may require the use of APD in the workplace other than as referred to in paragraph (1).

Section 5 of the Employers or Compulsory Employers announces in writing and install signs on the obligations of APD use at work.

Article 6 (1) Workers/labor and others entering the workplace are required to wear

Section 8 (1) defective APD, cracking or unable to function properly must

ABOUT THE SELF-PROTECTION TOOL

FUNCTION AND THE TYPE OF SELF-PROTECTION TOOL
