RATIFICATION OF INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION FOR THE SUPPRESSION OF ACTS OF NUCLEAR TERRORISM
(COUNTERMEASURES INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
THE ACT OF NUCLEAR TERRORISM)
WITH THE GRACE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,
Weigh: a. that the purpose of the Indonesian State Government as stated in the Opening of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia of Indonesia in 1945 is to protect all Indonesian people and all of Indonesia's blood, advance the general welfare, To preach the life of the nation and to carry out the order of the world that is based on independence, eternal peace, and social justice;
B. that based on consideration as referred to in the letter a, the Indonesian Government as part of the international community is committed to supporting the efforts of countermeasures to act of terrorism, in particular nuclear terrorism;
c. that the criminal conduct of nuclear terrorism constitutes an international crime that poses a danger to the security and peace of the world as well as humanity and civilization so that its prevention and eradication require cooperation between countries;
D. that based on the consideration of the letter a, the letter b, and the letter c, it is necessary to authorize the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism with the Undang-Undang;
Remembering: 1. Article 5 of the paragraph (1), Section 11, and Article 20 of the Basic Law of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945;
2. Act No. 24 Year 2000 on International Covenant (State of the Republic of Indonesia 2000 Number 185, Additional Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia No. 4012);

PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
DECIDED:
Establish: LEGISLATION ON RATIFICATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION FOR THE SUPPRESSION OF ACTS OF ACTS OF NUCLEAR TERRORISM.
Section 1
(1) Ratify The International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism with the Declaration (Statement) against Section 4 and Reservation (Withdrawal) of Article 23 verse (1).
(2) A copy of the original International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism with the Declaration (Statement) against Section 4 and Reservation (Withdrawal) of the Article 23 of the verse (1) in English and translation is in Indonesian as attached and is an inseparable part of this Act.
Section 2
This Act goes into effect on the promulgated date.
