The central management


§ 1. The Government leader, organizes and oversees the health care business.
Subsection. 2. The Government may impose in healthcare to conduct reviews and reports related to their professional activities.

Health Care Professionals and psychologists

Prevention Committee


§ 5. In each city reduces Naalakkersuisut a prevention committees.

Health service organization


§ 6. The country is divided into health units.
Subsection. 2. Queen Ingrid Hospital is rural hospital.

Country Doctor The office


§ 7. The Government set up a Country Doctor office providing advice and other assistance to the Greenland Government and other authorities in questions of health.
Subsection. 2. Country Doctor The office assists Naalakkersuisut with health monitoring.
Subsection. 3. Country Doctor The office oversees the health care activities carried out by people in health care, and with the activities carried out by psychologists in health care.

Subsection. 4. Country Doctor The office oversees the relationship of health character by institutions in healthcare.

§ 8. When the Medical Officer becomes aware of violations or deficiencies in health, the Medical Officer inform the competent authority as appropriate. Country doctor must also inform the public when special health conditions make it necessary.

Entry into force


§ 13. This Parliament Act comes into force on 1 March 2011.
Subsection. 2. At the same time Landsting Regulation no. 3 of 23 May 2000 on the health board and organization.
Subsection. 3. Rules laid down on the basis of Landsting Regulation no. 3 on 23 May 2000 shall remain in force until replaced or repealed by regulations laid down in this or other Inatsisartutlove.
