Pursuant to section 3 (1) (1) to (4) of the Law on Units in the Measurement Act, as amended by the Notice of 22 February 1985 (BGBl. I p. 408) shall be arranged: Unofficial table of contents

§ 1 Legal units

(1) Legal units and unit signs according to § 2 No. 1 of the Units and Time Act are
1.
the units listed in Appendix 1, columns 2 and 3, with special names,
2.
the units derived from the units referred to in point 1 with a number factor of 1.
For the units in Appendix 1, the definitions and relationships referred to in Chapter I of the Annex to Directive 80 /181/EC of 20 December 1979 (OJ L 327, 30.12.1979, p. 40), as amended. (3) Presets and substitutes for the designation of decimal multiples and parts of units according to § 2 (2) of the Units and Time Act are those in Appendix 2, columns 3 and 4. , these are the principles and symbols listed. The attachments and propositions shall not be applied to the units full angle, degree, second (angle), minute (time and angle), hour, day, kilogram, degree Celsius and millimeter/mercury column. (4) To designate a decimal multiples or Part of a device in Appendix 1 may not be used more than one attachment or an attachment character. Unofficial table of contents

§ 2 Device names in data processing systems

The device names and attachments according to DIN 66 030, May 2002 edition, may be displayed in data processing systems with limited character supply. Unofficial table of contents

§ 3 Additional use of non-statutory units

To the extent that according to § § 1 and 2 of the Units and Time Act Sizes in statutory units are to be specified, the additional use of other than the legal units is only permitted if the claim is highlighted in the legal unit. Unofficial table of contents

§ 4 Reference source and deposition of DIN standards

DIN standards, which are referred to in this regulation, have been published in Beuth Verlag GmbH, Berlin and Cologne, and are deposited at the German Patent Office in Munich in terms of their archives. Unofficial table of contents

§ 5 Penal rules

Contrary to § 10 (1) (3) of the Act on the Law of the Units and Time (Act), the person who is in addition to the statutory units in violation of § 3 is acting in an unofficial manner. Unofficial table of contents

§ 6 Entry into force, resolved provisions
