Species 1

(1) The Strasbourg Convention on the Restriction of Liability in Inland Waterways (CLNI), which was signed in Strasbourg on 4 November 1988 by the Federal Republic of Germany, is agreed. The Convention shall be published below. (2) The agreement shall be adopted with the proviso that the provisions contained in the Convention shall not be directly applicable within the national framework. Unofficial table of contents

The Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection is authorized to enter into force by means of a decree law the amendments to the maximum liability amounts and the unit of account adopted in accordance with Article 20 of the Convention. Unofficial table of contents

Art 3

(1) This Act shall enter into force on the day following its announcement. (2) The date on which the Convention enters into force for the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with its Article 17 shall be published in the Federal Law Gazproc.
