According to § 9 No. 3 of the Berlin/Bonn Law of 26 April 1994, the Federal Ministry of Finance (BGBl. 918), as defined by Article 1 of the Regulation of 21 September 1997 (BGBl. 2390), in conjunction with the announcement by the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Government's decision of 22 July 1999 (BGBl). I p. 1725):
With effect from 11 December 2000, the Federal Supervisory Office for the credit sector will move its headquarters from Berlin to Bonn. This will be the case in the Law on Credit in the version of the Notice of 9 September 1998 (BGBl. 2776), as last amended by Article 3 of the Law of 8 December 1999 (BGBl I). I p. 2384), the decision was taken in the siting of the seats.
