§ 1 Adaptation of maintenance assistance

From 1 July 1997 shall be increased:

1.

the amount of the income ceiling and the rate of maintenance assistance

a)

For the beneficiaries (Section 267 (1) sentence 1, Section 269 (1) of the Law) from 808 to 820 Deutsche Mark,

b)

for the respective spouse (Section 267 (1) sentence 2 No. 1, Section 269 (2) of the Law) from 539 to 547 Deutsche Mark,

c)

for each child (§ 267 para. 1 sentence 2 no. 2, § 269 para. 2 of the law) from 273 to 277 Deutsche Mark,

d)

for full orphans (§ 275 para. 1 sentence 2 of the law) from 444 to 451 Deutsche Mark,

2.

the increase in the amount of the care allowance (Section 267 (1) sentence 6 of the Law) from 281 to 286 Deutsche Mark,

3.

self-employment surcharge

a)

For beneficiaries (Section 269a (2) of the Law)

§ 2 Adjustment of amounts in Section 276 (4) of the Act

From 1 July 1997 shall be increased:

1.

the retention amounts for longer-time hospital treatment (§ 276 (4) sentence 1 of the law)

a)

For each of the eligible beneficiaries, from 257 to 261 Deutsche Mark,

b)

for the respective married non-permanently separated spouses from 190 to 193 Deutsche Mark,

c)

for children and full orphans, from 118 to 120 German marks,

2.

the amount of the allowance in § 276 para. 4 sentence 5 of the law from 322 to 327 Deutsche Mark.

§ 3 Adaptation of the maximum income of the compensation pension

From 1 July 1997 shall be increased:

1.

the maximum income amount of the compensation pension pursuant to section 279 (1) sentence 1 to 3 of the law

a)

for authorization from 1,205 to 1,219 Deutsche Mark,

b)

for the respective spouses 754 to 764 Deutsche Mark,

c)

for each child from 281 to 285 Deutsche Mark,

d)

for full orphans from 509 to 516 Deutsche Mark,

2.

the amount of the income ceiling pursuant to section 279 (1) sentence 4 of the Act

a)

for authorization from 1,435 to 1,449 Deutsche Mark,

b)

for the respective spouses 809 to 819 Deutsche Mark,

c)

for each child from 332 to 336 German marks,

d)

for full orphans from 624 to 631 Deutsche Mark.

§ 4 Adaptation of amounts in Section 292 of the Act

From 1 July 1997 shall be increased:

1.

the amount of the allowance in § 292 (2) (1), (3) sentence 2 and (4) (1) of the Law, respectively, from 322 to 327 Deutsche Mark,

2.

the pocket money rates in § 292 para. 4 penultimate sentence of the law

a)

in the case of any person entitled to a single person who has been subject or who has been accommodated, from 121 to 123 Deutsche Mark;

b)

for jointly submitted spouses from 209 to 212 Deutsche Mark,

c)

for children and full orphans from 41 to 42 German marks.
