ARRETE
Decree of 31 December 2002 approving bodies authorised to carry out controls on the concentration of asbestos dust in the workplace atmosphere

The Minister of Social Affairs, Labour and Solidarity and the Minister of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rural Affairs,
Given the code of the Work, and in particular Articles R. 231-55 and R. 231-55-1;
In light of the amended Decree No. 96-98 of 7 February 1996 on the protection of workers against the risks of inhalation of asbestos dust, and in particular Article 20 thereof ;
Having regard to the order of 20 August 1996 as amended relating to the quality control to be complied with by the bodies requesting approval for the control of certain chemical risks provided for in Article R. 231-55 of the Labour Code;
In view of the orders 24 January 2001 and 21 January 2002 approving bodies authorised to carry out controls on the concentration of asbestos dust in the workplace atmosphere;
In view of the opinion of the High Council on Risk Prevention Professionals;
In view of the opinion of the National Commission for Occupational Health and Safety in Agriculture,
Stop:

Article 1


Asbestos dust collection and counting shall be approved for a period of three years, From January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2005, the following organizations:
BRGM, Centre scientifique et technique, 3, avenue C. -Guillemin, Orléans-La Source, 45060 Orléans Cedex 2;
LHCF Environnement, 117, quai de Valmy, 75010 Paris.

Article 2


Only for three years, of January 1, 2003, to take samples from asbestos dust Until 31 December 2005, the following organisations:
CETE APAVE Nord-Ouest, 51, rue de l' Architecte-Cordonnier, BP 247, 59019 Lille Cedex;
CETE APAVE lyonnaise, 177, route de Sain-Bel, BP 3, 69811 Tassin Cedex;
Measure Studies Pollution Air Control (MEPAC), technoland, 460, rue A. -Japy, BP 21010, 25461 Etupes Cedex;
SGS/Laboratoire Wolff Environnement, ZI Saint-Guénault, 7, rue Jean-Mermoz, Courcrowns, 91031 Evry Cedex.

Item 3


Is registered, for a period of three years, from January 1, 2003, until December 31, 2005, to proceed only with asbestos dust counts, The following organization:
LEM, 20, rue de Koschersberg, BP 47, 67702 Saverne Cedex.

Article 4


Approved, to proceed with the Asbestos dust samples, for a period of one year, from 1 January 2003 to 31 December 2003, the following organisations:
L' Agence de l' analyse de l' air (L3A), rue Liancourt, 75014 Paris;
LHCF Environnement, agency Centre-Auvergne, 114, boulevard Lavoisier, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand;
Laboratoire départemental d' Analyses de la Charente-Maritime, analytic pole, 5, perspective de l' Océan, 17072 La Rochelle Cedex 9;
EPE, cabinet J. -Y. Llinares, 8, rue d' Endoume, 13264 Marseille Cedex 7.

Article 5


Approvals are granted on a precarious basis and revocable at all Time by Ministers responsible for labour and agriculture.

Article 6


This Order shall be without prejudice to the Provisions of the orders of 24 January 2001 and 21 January 2002 referred to above.

Article 7


The Director of Labour Relations and the The Director of Operations, Social Policy and Employment shall each have responsibility for the execution of this Order, which shall be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
