An Order of the Minister of the Interior, Overseas and Territorial Authorities dated June 22, 2009 opened a professional examination for the year 2009 to establish a list of suitability for the duties of lieutenant of professional firefighters.
This professional examination will take place on the following dates:
November 4, 2009: eligibility;
– November 30 to December 4, 2009: oral admission tests.
Candidates to the rank of major of professional firefighters who justify five years of actual service in their grade until December 31, 2010.
The total number of possible entries on the admission list, established under the professional examination of lieutenant of professional firefighters for 2009, is set at 31.
The oral test of this professional examination will take place in the examination centre, which will be set later by the Ministry of Interior, Overseas and Territorial Communities.
Those who wish to make an application for this professional examination must submit, in writing, an application for a registration file, with an enclosed envelope of €0.90 (format 23 × 33 cm) to the Ministry of Interior, Overseas and Territorial Communities, Civil Security Directorate (under-direction of firefighters and relief actors, Management and Competition Office), Place Beauv 75800 Paris Cedex 08, no later than Monday, 31 August 2009 (the stamp of the position being held).

Complete applications must be returned no later than Monday, September 7, 2009 (the stamp of the position being held).
No follow-up action will be reserved for applications made out of time, after August 31, 2009, and applications are incomplete or posted out of time after September 7, 2009.
