Vu la Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 modified on computers, files and freedoms;
Vu le Decree No. 2005-850 of 27 July 2005 bearing delegation of signature of members of the Government;
Vu le Decree No. 2005-1309 of 20 October 2005, modified by Decree No. 2007-451 of 25 March 2007, taken for application Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 related to computing, files and freedoms;
Having regard to the receipt of the National Commission on Informatics and Freedoms dated 11 February 2008 bearing number 1275864,

It is created in the Ministry of Defence, at the headquarters of the Army, an automated personal data processing known as the overseas medal implemented by the office of the Chief of Staff of the Army, whose main purpose is the allocation and management of the overseas medals attributed to the military personnel of the Earth Army.

The personal data categories recorded are those relating to:
- identity (name, name, date and place of birth, defense ID);
- professional life (assignment, garrison, date of beginning and end of stay, place of stay);
- decorations (patent number, staple wording).
The personal data thus recorded shall be retained until the individual leaves.

The recipients of recorded personal data are, depending on their respective responsibilities and the need to know:
– the direction of the military personnel of the army of land;
– the heads of bodies or staff, the commanders of units;
– hierarchical superiors of directors.

The right of opposition provided forArticle 38 of the Act of 6 January 1978 referred to above cannot be invoked as part of this treatment.

The rights of access and rectification provided for in sections 39 et seq. of the Act of 6 January 1978 referred to above shall be exercised with the office of the Chief of Staff of the Army, 14, rue Saint-Dominique, 00453 Armées.

The Chief of Staff of the Army Chief of Staff is responsible for the execution of this Order, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
