Order dated 9 November 2004 bearing the approval of ICA for the control of large bulk containers for the carriage of dangerous goods by land

Minister of Equipment, Transport, Land Management, Tourism and the Sea,
Considering Act No. 263 of 5 February 1942 on the transport of dangerous substances;
Having regard to the amended decision of 1 June 2001 on the carriage of dangerous goods by road (known as "ADR");
Having regard to the amended decision of 5 June 2001 on the transport of dangerous goods by rail (see "RID Order");
Having regard to periodic inspection of large bulk containers for the transport of dangerous goods;
Considering the application dated 25 June 2004 of ACI, sis 22, rue de l'Est, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt;
In view of the opinion of the Inter-Ministerial Commission on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (CITMD) in its session of 20 October 2004,
Stop it!

Article 1


ACI is a registered body, as part of Chapter 6.5 of the Annexes A to the ADR Order of 1 June 2001 and I of the RID Order of 5 June 2001 referred to above, to carry out periodic tests and inspections of the large bulk containers referred to in subsections 6.5.1.6 (paragraph 6.5.1.6.4) and 6.5.4.14.
However, this approval is only validated to the extent that ACI remains a registered body to conduct periodic inspections of tanks referred to in subsection 6.8.2.4 of the above-mentioned annexes.

Article 2


ACI shall, in order to carry out operations arising out of its approval referred to in section 1, comply with the terms and conditions set out in the procedures established in that regard by its care and endorsed by the Minister responsible for Transport.

Article 3


ACI is required to observe the procedures for the application of the regulatory provisions that are published in the Official Bulletin or are notified to it by the Minister for Transport.

Article 4


The provisions of this Order, revocable at any time, are in force only until 31 December 2005.

Article 5


The Director of Land Transport is responsible for the execution of this Order, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
