Summary Application of articles 4, 10 and 11 of Decree 98-268. Repeal of the Decree of February 17, 1999.

Having regard to Decree No. 98-268, 3 April 1998 on the special status of the body of the technicians of industry and mines, including articles 4, 10 and 11, stops: Article 1 the training planned for technicians in the industry and mines recruited under article 4 (2 °) of the Decree of 3 April 1998 referred to above is organized under the conditions laid down in the following articles.


Article 2 the training takes place over a year and consists of theoretical education, delivered at the National College of industrial technology and mines (ENSTIM) of Douai, and courses carried out in enterprises and the services of the Ministry of industry.


Article 3 the direction of the ENSTIM of Douai, in his capacity as Chairman of the Committee of studies is responsible for the proper conduct of the training.
As such, its role is:-to prepare, organize and control the teachings and courses;
-to ensure the coordination of theoretical and practical lessons.
A training certificate is awarded by the Director of the ENSTIM de Douai technicians having obtained results respecting the conditions laid down by the regulation of the ENSTIM de Douai school.


Article 4 the year of training is organized as follows: 1. A common core of training during which are exempt General teachings and the basic elements relating to the activities of the regional directorates for industry, research and the environment;
2. an internship;
3. a second period of vocational training in which alternate with theoretical teaching at the ENSTIM de Douai and practical lessons in the services of the Ministry of industry, under the responsibility of a guardian appointed by the head of the home service;
4. a last period of adaptation to the position is done in the Department where is assigned the technician of industry and mines, under the responsibility of a guardian appointed by the head of this service.


Article 5 cases of force majeure, subject to the discretion of the Committee of studies and having forced the technician of the industry and mines to not follow all or part of the training provided, it may be allowed to subsequently follow the not done modules.


Article 6 Decree of 17 February 1999 concerning the terms of the training planned for the candidates admitted to the professional examination for access to the rank of technician of industry and mines is repealed.


Article 7 the Director of personnel, modernization and administration is responsible for the execution of this order, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
