ACT No. 2007-1164 of 1 August 2007 authorizing the accession to the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, aiming at the abolition of the death penalty (1)

The National Assembly and the Senate have adopted,
The President of the Republic enacts the following legislation:

Sole Article

Is entitled to join the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant Civil and political rights to abolish the death penalty, adopted in New York on 15 December 1989, and whose text is annexed to this Law (2).
This Law shall be enforced as the law of the State.
