Given the rural code, in particular Articles L. 241-1 and L. 242-4;
In view of Order No. 2003-850 of 4 September 2003 simplifying the organisation and operation of the Health care system as well as procedures for the establishment of social or medico-social institutions or services subject to authorization,
Describes:
A sub-section 4 is inserted in Section 2 of Chapter I of Title IV of Book II of the Rural Code (Regulatory part) worded as follows:
"Subsection 4
" Registration Prior to Exercise
of Veterinary Profession
" Art. R. 241-27-1. -The order of veterinarians shall be responsible for the registration without charge of the diploma referred to in Article L. 241-1 of this Code, for any veterinarian of French nationality or national of another Member State of the European Union or of another Member State State Party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area which fulfils the conditions laid down in Articles L. 241-2 to L. 241-5.
" Art. R. 241-27-2. -A veterinarian who requests his registration shall send his request to the President of the Regional Council of the Order in the region where he intends to fix his personal or professional domicile as mentioned in Article R. * 242-52.
" The record request must be accompanied by the following parts:
" -the presentation of the original or the production or sending of a readable photocopy of a valid passport or national identity card;
" -copy of the diploma of veterinary doctor or diploma, certificate or title of veterinarian and, for veterinary surgeons of foreign and naturalized French origin, of the ministerial decree entitling them to practice in France or, if they are Originating in the European Community or other States Party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area of one of the titles referred to in Article L. 241-2.
" Art. R. 241-27-3. -The list of veterinarians practising medicine and animal surgery shall be brought to the attention of the public in the manner laid down in Article L. 242-4, and shall be available on the website of the order of veterinarians. "
The Minister of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rural Affairs is responsible for the implementation of this Decree, which will be published in the Journal Official of the French Republic.
