  • TITLE I: DEFINITIONS AND GENERAL PROVISIONS Article 1


    For the purposes of this Order, "

    Article 4


    In accordance with the provisions of the Sections R. 321-15 and 321-6 of the Highway Traffic Act:
    -a new or used vehicle may be put into circulation only if it has previously been the subject of one of the functions provided for in Article 1 of this Decree;
    -equipment belonging to the list set out at 3 ° of Annex I to the present Order may be placed on the market only if it has been the subject of EC type-approval, provided for in Article 1 of this Order, or of the corresponding EEC type-approval.

    Article 5

    Article 9

    The provisions of this Order replace the provisions of the Order Of 7 July 1995, as of 9 November 2003.

    Article 28


    Receipts for vehicles issued in accordance with Directive 92 /61/EEC referred to above before 9 November 2003 remains valid and Extensions may be granted to such receptions in accordance with the provisions of the Directive in respect of which they were initially granted. For such vehicles, the certificates of conformity established in accordance with the abovementioned decree of 7 July 1995 and containing the information requested in Annex IV to 92 /61/EEC may be used up to 8 November 2004.
    As of 9 November 2004, the certificates of conformity issued by the manufacturer must contain all the information requested in Annex IV A of Directive 2002 /24/EC in accordance with the provisions of this decree.

    Article 29


    Pursuant to Directive 2002/24/EC, the abovementioned Directive 92/61/EEC is repealed with effect from 9 November 2003. Consequently, the references to Directive 92/61/EEC in the texts are to be interpreted as references to the abovementioned Directive 2002/24 EC and read in accordance with the correlation table in Annex IX to the Directive 2002 /24/CE.

    Article 30


    The decree of 7 July 1995 referred to above is repealed as of 9 November 2004.

    Article 31


    The Director of Traffic Safety and Traffic shall be responsible for the execution of this Order, which shall be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic
