Prime Minister,
On the report of the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Trade, Handicrafts, Professions And the Minister for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rural Affairs,
In the light of Council Regulation No 2081 /92/EEC of 14 July 1992 on the protection of geographical indications and Designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstuffs;
Given the rural code, and in particular Articles L. 641-2, L. 641-3, L. 641-5 and L. 641-6;
Given the code of consumption, and in particular Articles L. 115-6 and L. 115-20 ;
In view of the decree of 16 May 2005 on the designation of controlled origin " Pomme du Limousin " ;
Given the proposal of the National Agri-Food Committee of the National Institute of Appellations of Origin dated June 17, 2004,

Appoint Apples as Controlled Origin " Pomme du Limousin " Includes, for all operators involved in the conditions of production of the said appellation:
-a declaration of fitness;
-if it has not been found non-compliance with the conditions of production, an analytical examination and Organoleptic by survey.
For producers, the approval also includes a declaration of harvesting including:
-the surface of the UHP for which the production is claimed as a controlled appellation of origin;
-the Total production;
-for producers selling all or part of their production to a packer, quantities, name and address of each conditioner.

The declaration of fitness includes a commitment for the operator to respect the conditions of production laid down in the decree of 16 May 2005 on the appellation of origin Controlled " Pomme du Limousin " Above. It shall be subscribed to the services of the National Institute of Appellations of Origin (INAO).

Control of production conditions is under the responsibility of the INAO.
The arrangements for the organisation of the control of the conditions of production are defined by a convention between the Director of The INAO and the recognised organisation of the appellation of origin controlled ' Pomme du Limousin " Approved by the National Committee of Agri-Food Products of the INAO, hereinafter referred to as the National Committee.
This body shall be approved by the national committee, after the opinion of the defence trade union of the controlled appellation of origin " Pomme du Limousin ". This authorisation shall be granted for a maximum period of three years which may be renewed and shall enter into force only after the signing of the Convention by the Director of the INAO and the said body.

Failure to comply with conditions of production or refusal of control by an operator results in the invalidation of its declaration of fitness.
