L. 141-5-1. -In schools, colleges and public schools, the port of signs or clothes by which students conspicuously show religious affiliation is prohibited.

I. - This Act is applicable: (1) in the islands of Wallis and Futuna.
(2) in the departmental community of Mayotte;
(3) in New Caledonia, in public educational institutions of the second degree within the jurisdiction of the State under article 21 of the Act III organic No. 99-209 of 19 March 1999 on New Caledonia.
II. - The education code has been changed: (1) in the first paragraph of article L. 161 - 1, references: "L. 141 - 4, L. 141 - 6" are replaced by references: "L. 141 - 4, L. 141-5-1, L. 141 - 6";
(2) is article L. 162 - 1, references: "L. 141 - 4 at L. 141 - 6" are replaced by references: "L. 141 - 4, L. 141 - 5, L. 141-5-1, L. 141 - 6";
(3) has article L. 163 - 1, references: "L. 141 - 4 at L. 141 - 6" are replaced by references: "L. 141 - 4, L. 141 - 5, L. 141 - 6";
(4) article L. 164 - 1 has been changed: has) references: "L. 141 - 4 at L. 141 - 6" are replaced by references: "L. 141 - 4, L. 141 - 5, L. 141 - 6";
(b) it is supplemented by a well written paragraph: ' article L. 141-5-1 is applicable to public secondary educational institutions mentioned in article 21 of the Act III organic No. 99-209 of 19 March 1999 on New Caledonia that are the responsibility of the State. "
III. - In article L. 451 - 1 of the same code, it is inserted after the reference: "L. 132 - 1, ', the reference:" L. 141-5-1, ".

The provisions of this Act come into force from the beginning of the school year following its publication.


Article 4 the provisions of this Act are being evaluated one year after its entry into force.
This Act will be enforced as law of the State.
