DECREE NO 532

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That by Legislative Decree No. 487 dated 23 November 2007, published in Official Journal No. 222, Volume N ° 377 of 28 of the same month and year, the Transitional Law for the Stabilization of Tariffs was issued of the Public Service for the Collective Transport of Passengers.

II.-Article 10 of that Law, establishes in addition to other things, that in order to be entitled to the compensation, the concessionaire must be the holder of the units only.

III.-Than to date, the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing and Urban Development, has difficulty in cancelling the compensation for the stabilization of the public service charge for the public transport of passengers, established in the aforementioned Law.

IV.-That by the previous circumstance, it becomes necessary to issue the relevant reform, in order to have the legal tools to deliver the mentioned compensation.

DECCRETA: the following reform to the Transitional Law for the Stabilization of the Fees of the Public Service of Collective Transportation of Passengers.

Art. 1.-Amend the second paragraph of Art. 10, in the following terms:

" To be entitled to the compensation indicated in the preceding article, the beneficiary must be a concessionaire or a valid permit for the public service of collective transport of passengers, and must have units whose age is less than or equal to twenty years. "

Art. 2.-This Decree will enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
