1 index Legislative Decree No. 261 the Assembly Legislative of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, whereas: I.-that of conformity to the article 131 ordinal 22 of it Constitution, corresponds to the Assembly Legislative it Faculty of grant to people or populations, titles, distinctions mentions and bonuses compatible with the form of Government established.
II.-that the municipality of Polorós, Department of the Union, currently has reached remarkable progress, since has with them services public and private necessary for the well-being and the development of their inhabitants; Thus, complying with the requirements laid down in the law of honorary distinctions, rewards and titles, to raise their current category of city.
III.-that for the above reasons, the municipality of Polorós, Department of the Union, meets the conditions for granting him the title of city.
Therefore, in application of the constitutional powers and Deputy Jorge Alberto Escobar Bernal initiative and with the support of the deputies Santiago Flores Alfaro and Abner Ivan Torres Ventura.
DECREES: article 1.-grant is the title of city to the population of Polorós, Department of the Union.
Article 2.-this Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the official journal.
GIVEN in the blue room of the Legislative Palace: San Salvador, on the tenth day of the month of January of the year two thousand thirteen.
