DECREE No. 296 THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I. That the existing boundary between the municipalities comprising the Department of Ahuachapán, not conformity with this development of technology in land registration matters and measurement; nor to the current circumstances of social and economic development of the country.
II.- with the registration technology and photogrammetric models currently available by the National Registration Center; It is possible to perform a precise delimitation and demarcation of these boundaries.
III that has developed a process of dialogue between the municipalities involved with the assistance of the National Registration Center and the Geographic Institute and National Cadastre, reaching in this way to the drafting and signing of the municipal boundary Atiquizaya - CHALCHUAPA with reference No. 0103 - 0203, which is taken as the basis for the content of this decree and is attached as an integral part thereof.
IV.- That pursuant to Art. 131 ordinal 5 of the Constitution is the responsibility of the State Body enact, authentically interpret, amend and repeal secondary laws.
THEREFORE,

Art. 1. It is established as the boundary between the municipalities of Chalchuapa Atiquizaya and the Departments of Ahuachapan and Santa Ana, the following:
The stroke of the boundary between Atiquizaya and Chalchuapa, is composed of two parts.
The first portion is formed by a path and a single stretch, given two points numbered from one to two, by hydrographic natural element. At this boundary portion, for the present description it is called north.
The second portion comprises five paths. The first path formed of a stretch, given two numbered points of 3 to 4, by boundaries of plots; the second path formed of a stretch, given two points numbered 4 to 5, by terrestrial communication; the third path formed of a stretch, given two points numbered five to

six plots by boundaries; the fourth path consisting of two sections, determined with three numbered points 6 to 8, by terrestrial communication; the fifth and final path formed of a stretch, given two points numbered 8 to 9, by boundaries of plots; that similarly to the present disclosure it is called South Side. Trifinio start point. It is defined at the intersection of the extension of the southern boundary of the plot twenty-seven, the sector zero one zero nine R zero eight, with the central axis of the river Gueveapa, Pampe or Chalchuapa, where is located the point number one, at the same time . trifinio for municipalities Atiquizaya and San Lorenzo, both of the department of Ahuachapán and Chalchuapa, department of Santa Ana Its coordinates are the same length, four hundred twenty-one thousand eight hundred seventy-seven point thirty-five meters; the same latitude, three hundred twenty point seventeen meters in 1200. Single tranche, point to point number one number two. Heading east, in sinuous line, along the central axis of Gueveapa Pampe or Chalchuapa River, upstream to intercept the central axis of the street that the canton and village San Juan El Espino leads to canton and San Sebastian village, a place where located point number two, with a distance of approximately seven hundred sixty-two point fourteen meters. Punto Trifinio arrival.
