1 Decree No. 512 the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: I.-that by Legislative Decree No. 150 of date October 2, 2003, published in the journal official No. 198, vol. No. 361, on 24 October of the same year, has been declared for a period of 3 years, exempt from the payment of all kinds of taxes including the municipal which could cause presentations making Salvadoran artists and musical ensembles in its different specialties, according to table established therein.
II.-that the referred decree was issued as a result of the economic crisis facing the national artists, which discourages them to be followed to develop, so it was necessary to give them tax incentives in order to contribute to the strengthening of these.
III.-that the effects of the referred decree have been extended on several occasions, being the last one through the Legislative Decree Nº 166, dated 25 October from 2012, published in the Official Journal No. 201, volume no. 397, the 26th of the same month and year, reform that it expires on 26 October of this year.
IV.-that the economic crisis facing concerned Salvadoran artists and musical ensembles still persist, and being near the expiration of the tax incentive, it is convenient to extend for two years more, the effects laid down in Legislative Decree No. 150 to which reference has been made in recital first of this Decree.
Therefore, use of his constitutional powers and initiative of the deputies Margarita Escobar, Lorena Guadalupe Peña Mendoza and Carmen Elena Calderón de Escalón, and Deputy David Ernesto Reyes.
Decree: Article 1.-extended by two years, from 26 October of this year, as established in Legislative Decree No. 150, of 2 October 2003, published in Official Journal No. 198, vol. No. 361, on 24 October of the same year.
Article 2.-this Decree shall enter into force the day of its publication in the official journal.
