1 Decree No. 598 the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: I.-that the article 101 of the Constitution establishes that the State will promote economic and social development through increasing production and productivity and also encourage the various productive sectors.
II. that by means of the Decree legislative No. 456, of October 31, 2007, published in the Official Journal No. 235, volume no. 377 on December 17, 2007, issued the Decree of restriction of exports of waste and scrap ferrous and non-ferrous.
III.-that the theft of telephone wires and electric power has reflected a considerable decrease from the entry into force of the Decree of the restriction of exports of waste and scrap ferrous and non-ferrous.
IV.-that by Legislative Decree No. 525 of November 25, 2010, extended the validity of the Legislative Decree No. 456, through December 31, 2013.
V given that the reduction has been evidenced in the theft of the distribution of electricity and telephone cables, makes necessary its extension in order to continue influencing the reduction of ferrous and non-ferrous metal theft.
Therefore, use of his constitutional powers and at the initiative of the deputies Carmen Elena Calderón de Escalón, Margarita Escobar and Bertha Mercedes Rodriguez, and the members of Parliament Roberto Jose Aviles d´Aubuisson Munguia, big Jesus, Manuel Rigoberto Soto loop, Guadalupe Antonio Vásquez Martínez Rodolfo Antonio Parker Soto, and Ciro Alexis Zepeda Menjívar.
DECREES: article 1.-extend is until the 31 of December of the year 2014, it established in the Decree legislative No. 456, of the 31 of October of 2007, published in the daily official No. 235, took no. 377 of the 17 of December of 2007.
Article 2.-this Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the official journal.
