1 Decree No. 620 the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: I.-that the Bishops of El Salvador (CEDES), will introduce to the country the amount of thirty-six thousand (36,000) litres of wine to consecrate, which will be distributed in all the parishes of the country, to be used during the celebrations of the Holy Eucharist.
II.-in accordance with the powers as this Legislative Assembly gives the Constitution of the Republic, is coming to exonerate all kinds of tax payment, including warehousing, that may cause the introduction to the country of the wine in question.
Therefore, use of his constitutional powers and initiative Member Carmen Elena Calderón de Escalón, and the Deputy Roberto José Munguía d´Aubuisson.
DECREES: Article 1.-exempt to the Episcopal Conference for El Salvador (CEDES), payment of all types of taxes, including warehousing, except for the tax on the transfer of movable property and to the provision of services (VAT), which can cause the introduction to the country of thirty-six thousand (36,000) litres of wine to consecrate.
The exemption granted is subject to surveillance and control that the respective fiscal agencies should exercise.
Article 2.-this Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the official journal.
