DECREE No. 638 THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I. That pursuant to Article 131, paragraph 22º of the Constitution of the Republic, is faculty of this organ of the State, grant to individuals or populations, titles, honors and rewards compatible with the form of government established by altruistic and humanitarian, relevant services to the nation.
II.- Article 6, paragraph a) of the Act Honorary Distinctions, Awards and Titles states that the nomination of "meritorious Son or Daughter of El Salvador" is a high distinction and awarded to the Salvadoran people engaged or have been engaged in the practice of humanitarian and altruistic activities, or for their significant contributions to human knowledge or services in a manner such that this contribution represents a national, regional or universal benefit. III.-
Major Fire Abner Hurtado Audiel Galdámez has provided innumerable contributions to the Salvadoran society with their hard social and humanitarian work on behalf of vulnerable populations, encouraging and promoting the implementation of programs of different nature, achieving a better quality of life in communities, and with that, the recognition of different international organizations.
IV.- That the Mayor Hurtado Galdámez, has been noted for his work on behalf of people with great professionalism and dedication in adverse circumstances experienced by the country during the most devastating natural disasters that have plagued the region, carrying out their work with courage and dedication, with the sole purpose of supporting those most needy and vulnerable to the dangers of accidental incidents and natural disasters in El Salvador.
V. By virtue of the aforementioned merits, it is appropriate to declare the citizen and Mayor Audiel Fire Abner Hurtado Galdámez, "SON OF EL SALVADOR Meritísimo" in recognition of his commendable work dedicated to the service of Salvadoran citizens .

Art. 1. Major Fire is declared Audiel Abner Hurtado Galdámez, "SON OF EL SALVADOR Meritísimo" in recognition of his commendable work dedicated to the service of Salvadoran citizens.
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
