THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.- That the AGAPE Association of El Salvador is a charitable institution of a social, cultural, Christian, apolitical and non-profit character, whose objectives, among others, are to protect and help every person in need, especially the elderly, children and young people.

II.- That for the achievement of their objectives they will hold the event called “17° BANQUETE DEL LOOR”, to be held on May 14, this year, whose income will be allocated to cover the costs of the social programs that the Association attends.

III.- That in accordance with the powers conferred upon this Legislative Assembly by the Constitution of the Republic, it is appropriate to exempt the payment of taxes, including the municipal ones, which may cause the aforementioned activity.

in the use of its constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Deputy César Humberto García Aguilera.

RIGHT:

Art. 1.- Exonerate the AGAPE Association of El Salvador, from the payment of taxes, including the municipal ones, except for the Tax on the Transfer of Furniture Goods and the Benefits of Services (IVA), which can cause the event called “17o BANQUETE DEL LOOR”, which will take place on May 14, this year, at the facilities of La Hacienda de Los Miranda.

The waiver granted is without prejudice to the monitoring and control to be exercised by the respective tax agencies. In addition, representatives of the aforementioned Association shall submit to this Assembly within 30 days of the event a duly audited report on the income obtained and the distribution thereof.

Art. 2.- This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
