DECREE NO 826
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-The Ministry of Health has received 250 boxes of GLIVEC 100 mg medicines, 3 packages containing GLIVEC 100 mg medicines, and GLIVEC 400 mg, as well as 26 packages containing medicines, in the concept of donation. medical supplies and equipment.
II.-That in order to facilitate the income of said donation, and benefit to users who make use of the services of the national public network, it is appropriate to exonerate the payment of taxes, including bodegage, which may cause the introduction to the country of the donation referred to in the previous recital.
III.-That according to the powers conferred upon this Legislative Assembly by the Constitution of the Republic, it is appropriate to exonerate the payment of taxes, including bodegage, that could cause the introduction to the country of the aforementioned donation.
BY TANTO,
in use of its Constitutional powers and on the initiative of the Deputy Lorena Guadalupe Peña Mendoza.
DECCRETA:
Art. 1.-The Ministry of Health should be paid for all taxes, including the Transfer of Furniture and Services (VAT), and a debodegage, which may cause the introduction into the country of two hundred and fifty (250) boxes. GLIVEC 100 mg, three (3) packages containing GLIVEC 100 mg medicinal products, and GLIVEC 400 mg, as well as twenty-six (26) packages containing medicinal products, medical supplies and equipment.
The exemption granted is without prejudice to surveillance and control to be exercised by the respective tax authorities.
Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
