DECREE NO 929

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with the electoral periods established in the Constitution of the Republic and the Convocation made by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, on 1 March 2015, the elections of Deputies and Members of the Legislative Assembly, the Central American Parliament and Municipal Councils.

II.-That the participation of citizens in temporary electoral bodies as well as the monitoring of the electoral process by political parties is fundamental to the development and transparency of the electoral process.

III.-That a new voting system will be implemented in the next elections, so it is expected that the scrutiny process will continue for more hours than it has been in previous elections.

IV.-What to ensure the participation of citizens and citizens until the end of the election day; It is appropriate to grant paid leave on 2 March 2015 for all public, private and municipal employees, who participate in the elections as members of temporary electoral bodies, or as Heads of Centre, Supervisors, Watchers and Legal Representatives of the political parties or coalitions.

in use of its Constitutional powers and on the initiative of the Deputy Mariella Peña Pinto and the Deputies Juan Carlos Mendoza and Alberto Armando Romero.

DECRETA the following:

APPLICABLE TRANSITIONAL ARRANGEMENT TO THE MARCH 2015 ELECTION EVENT.

Art. 1.-On March 2, 2015, grant paid leave to public, private and municipal employees, who will be members of the departmental electoral boards, municipal elections boards, and delegates of these, Juntas Recipients of Votes, or as Heads of Center, Supervisors, Watchers and Legal Representatives of political parties or coalitions, at the election event on March 1 of this year.

Art. 2. The participation of public, private and municipal employees in the functions referred to in the previous article will be verified in the case of the members of the departmental electoral boards and municipal electoral boards, with the same Supreme Court extended credentials

Electoral to accredit them.

In the case of the Members of the Board of Directors of Votes, so as of the Heads of Center, Supervisors, Watchers and Legal Representatives of the political parties or coalitions, they will check their participation with the forms that to this effect will provide the Supreme Electoral Tribunal to each Board de Votos, where participation in the electoral event will be recorded leaving a space for the name and role played, and will be signed and sealed by the Secretary or Secretary of the Board of Votes in which you have voted.

In the case of the Municipal Electoral Board Delegates, they will also use the form provided by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal but will be signed and sealed by the Secretary or Secretariat of the Municipal Electoral Board.

Art. 3.-This Decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
