DECREE NO 981

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That Article 53 of the Constitution of the Republic establishes that the right to education and culture is inherent in the human person; consequently,

is the primary obligation and purpose of the State its conservation, promotion and dissemination.

II.-Also, Article 51 of the Special Law of Protection of the Cultural Heritage of El Salvador, establishes that cultural goods will be recognized through Legislative Decree, Executive Decree or Internal Resolution of the

Ministry as the case may be. The Legislative Body will recognize by Decree the quality of the National Monument; the Historical Center; Area, Zone, Site, Place, Cultural or Historical Set. The Cultural Good will be recognized in the form

prescribed in this Law and its regulations.

III.-That based on the technical description presented by the Secretariat of Culture through the National Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Registry Address

of Cultural Property, it was recommended to declare the place in which the building is currently located called "Parque Juan Manuel Rodríguez or Parque Centenario", "Historic Site"; since according to the delimitations

established, the building meets the essential requirements for its conservation, protection and safeguarding.

IV.-That the perimeter mentioned in the previous recital, meets the legal requirements to be declared "Historic Site", which on the basis of the technical assessment made, has requirements indispensable as are the values of

antiquity, historical, symbolic, social and urban, for possessing outstanding elements in forming part of the identity and memory of the population, as well as constituting a singular local point of reference and of conformation of the

landscape and urban scene, being sourced statement as a measure to grant the protection of the rule of law to such an important area.

in use of its Constitutional powers and on the initiative of the Diputadas: Lucia del Carmen Ayala

de León, Carmen Elena Figueroa Rodriguez, Margarita Escobar, Silvia Estela Ostorga de Escobar, Norma Carolina Ramirez and Patricia Elena Valdivieso de Gallardo.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-Declare as "Historic Site", the place where the real estate called "Parque Juan Manuel Rodríguez or Parque Centenario" is located, located in the municipality and

Department of San Salvador, in accordance with the demarcated area starting from In the south-west vertex which is the number one mojon, by means of the perimeters to describe:

TO PONDEJA: In three tranches, stretch one with direction North zero six degrees forty and six minutes zero two point fifty and five seconds East, distance of sixty-two meters with twenty-seven

centimeters. Stretch two with course South eighty-three degrees fifteen minutes fifty-two-point ninety-two seconds East, distance of two meters with ninety-two centimeters. Section three with direction North zero six degrees forty and eight minutes twenty-three point sixty-five seconds East,

distance of eight meters with eighty-eight centimeters lining in these stretches with Angel Mauricio Jovel Barriere, Cossé Rodríguez Perlera, Ana Gloria Chávez Viuda de Ramos and 10th Avenue North by means.

AL NORTE: In a single section with a heading south eighty degrees fifty and three minutes twenty point eighty eight seconds East, distance of eighty and three meters with sixty-five centimeters and

lining this stretch with Jose Mauricio Hernandez Aguilar, Roberto Samuel Salomon, Roberto Alvarado and the ninth street of the middle.

TO THE ORIENTE: In three sections, stretch one with direction South zero eight degrees eleven minutes forty-five point eighty-two seconds West distance of nine meters with zero nine centimeters. Stretch two with course South eighty and a degree twenty-nine minutes forty-six point fifty-five seconds East, distance of three meters with fourteen centimeters. Stretch three with direction South zero seven

degrees twenty-four minutes fifty point twenty-five-second West distance of sixty-eight meters with fifty-seven centimeters and lingiving on these three tranches with Michelangelo Rosendo Rivas Ayala, José Antonio Cruz Parada, Manuel de Jesús Fuentes Herrera and the twelve avenue Norte de por medio.

AL SUR: In six sections, stretch one length of five-meter curve with thirteen centimeters and two-meter radius with sixty-three centimeters. Stretch two with length of curve of seven meters

with zero eight centimeters and radius of ninety nine meters with zero eight centimeters. Stretch three with a curve length of twelve meters with fifteen centimeters and radius of seventy-two meters with seventy-five centimeters. Stretch four with curve length of eleven meters with twenty-four centimeters and

radius of one hundred and thirty and one meters with ten centimeters. Stretch five with course North seventy-nine degrees forty-six minutes zero six-point eighty-three seconds West distance of fifty-two meters with sixty-six centimeters. Stretch six with length of curve of four meters with

fifty-seven centimeters and radius of three meters and lining in these sections with Constructora Bernard Sociedad Anonima, Oscar Hildebrando Jerez Hidalgo, Jorge Alberto Herrera and the Alameda John Paul Second by way. This is how you get to the number one place where the description started.

Art. 2.-According to their competencies, the entities will define in a coordinated and joint manner the policies, plans, programs and projects that are necessary for the protection and conservation of the "Historic Site
