DECREE NO 982

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That Article 53 of the Constitution of the Republic establishes that the right to education and culture is inherent in the human person; consequently,

is the primary obligation and purpose of the State its conservation, promotion and dissemination.

II.-Also, Article 51 of the Special Law of Protection of the Cultural Heritage of El Salvador, establishes that cultural goods will be recognized through Legislative Decree, Executive Decree or Internal Resolution of the

Ministry as the case may be. The Legislative Body will recognize by Decree the quality of the National Monument; the Historical Center; Area, Zone, Site, Place, Cultural or Historical Set. The Cultural Good will be recognized in the form

prescribed in this Law and its regulations.

III.-That based on the technical description presented by the Secretariat of Culture through the National Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Registry Address

of Cultural Property, it was recommended to declare the place known as Hacienda Guálcho, especially the Casco de la Hacienda and the Cerro Las Aranas that rises to the west of the house, "Historic Site"; since according to the delimitations

established perimeter, the building meets the essential requirements for its conservation, protection and safeguarding.

IV.-That the perimeter mentioned in the previous recital, meets the legal requirements to be declared "Historic Site", which on the basis of the technical assessment made, has requirements indispensable as the values of

antiquity, historical and symbolic, being a place in which a fact of importance was carried out for the history of the country, as is the memorable Battle of Gualcho, waged by General Francisco Morazan, being sourced this

statement as a measure to grant you protection The rule of law to such an important area.

Art. 1.-Declare as "Historic Site", the place known as Hacienda Guálcho, especially the Casco de la Hacienda and the Cerro Las Aranas that rises to the Poniente de la casa, located in the Municipality

of Nueva Granada, Department of Usulutan, according to the delimited zone starting from the central axis of the street leading to the Canton Palomilla de Gualcho and with a south direction twenty-five degrees nine minutes eleven seconds this and distance of twenty-three meters in normal right locates

the number one mojon by means of the perimeters to describe.

TO NORTE: In five stretches, stretch one with course North sixty-four degrees fifty

minutes forty-nine seconds East, distance of forty-two meters zero centimeters. Section two with direction North twenty-five degrees zero nine minutes eleven seconds West distance of four meters zero centimeters. Stretch three with course North sixty degrees fifty minutes forty-nine

seconds East, distance of thirty meters zero centimeters. Section four with direction North twenty-five degrees zero nine minutes eleven seconds West distance of four meters zero centimeters. Stretch five with course North sixty-four degrees fifty minutes forty-nine seconds East, distance

fifty-nine-meter-zero centimeters and linting with grounds of Mrs. Maria Ventura Cruz's neighborhood path to the river and Ernesto Gomez Baires.

TO THE ORIENTE: In a single stretch with direction South twenty-five-zero nine minutes eleven seconds East, distance of sixty meters bordering the Rio Gualcho.

TO SOUTH: In five sections, section one with course South forty-nine degrees fifty minutes

zero four seconds West distance of fifty two meters zero cm. Stretch two with direction South twenty-three degrees thirty-nine minutes forty seconds West distance of five meters fifty centimeters. Stretch three with course North sixty-six degrees sixteen minutes fifty-eight

seconds West distance of twenty-three meters eighty centimeters. Stretch four with course South forty-six degrees forty-six minutes thirty-seven seconds West distance of twenty-three meters fifty centimeters. Stretch five with course South sixty-four degrees fifty minutes forty

and nine seconds West distance of thirty-nine meters fifteen centimeters lingiving in this stretch with lands of Mrs. Roselia Herrera road neighborhood to the river and

AL PONDEÑILSON Amaya.

TO PONDEJA: In a single stretch with direction North twenty-five degrees zero nine minutes eleven seconds West distance of sixty meters twenty centimeters lingiving with lands of Mrs. Maria Ventura Cruz so comes to the number one place where the description started.

Art. 2.-According to their competencies, the entities will define in a coordinated and joint manner the policies, plans, programs and projects that are necessary for the protection and conservation of the "Historic Site

Art. 3.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal
