DECREE NO 1014
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That by Legislative Decree No. 487, dated 23 November 2007, published in Official Journal No. 222, Volume No. 377 of 28 of the year
month and year, the Transitional Law for Stabilization was issued of the Fees of the Public Service of Collective Transport of Passengers, with the object of maintaining
II.-That by Legislative Decree No. 595, dated December 18, 2013, the effects of the Decree mentioned in the previous recital were extended,
by the deadline of a year, which ends on the thirtieth and one of the month of December of the year two thousand fourteen.
III.-That by Legislative Decree No. 732, dated December 8, 1993, published in the Official Journal No. 18, Volume N ° 322 of January 26, 1994, issued the Law on the Development and Territorial Ordinance of the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador and the Municipalities Aledanos, which in its article 2 establishes as
metropolitan area of San Salvador the territories of the following municipalities: Antiguo Cuscatlán, Apopa, Ayutuxtepeque, Cuscatancngo, Ciudad Delgado, Ilopango, Mejicanos, Nejapa, Santa Key, San Marcos, San Martín, San Salvador,
Soyapango and Tonacatepeque.
IV.-That in order to continue to safeguard the family economy of the
public service community of public transport It is essential to establish appropriate mechanisms for the granting of economic compensation established by the State in favor of the transport sector,
incorporating the necessary reforms for its proper implementation, keeping the cost levels of the bus and microbus fare unchanged in all zones of the country.

in use of its Constitutional faculties and on the initiative of the Diputadas Lorena Guadalupe Peña Mendoza, Norma Fidelia Guevara of Ramírios, and of the Deputy Rolando Mata Fuentes.
DECCRETA, the following:
REFORMS TO THE TRANSITIONAL LAW FOR THE STABILIZATION OF SERVICE TARIFFS
PUBLIC PASSENGER TRANSPORT

Art. 1. Reform in Art. 7, the second paragraph, as follows:
" The resources in reference will be used to subsidize two cents of the United States of America ($0.02) per passenger transferred in the urban microbuses. authorized and four U.S. cents of the United States of America ($0.04) per passenger moved in the buses
authorized urban, both in the metropolitan area of San Salvador; understanding itself, the territories of the Municipalities According to the Law on the Development and Territorial Ordinance of the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador and the surrounding municipalities, and in the rest of the country, two hundred dollars
from the United States of America ($200.00) in authorized microbuses and four hundred dollars from the United States of America ($400.00) for buses authorised, for the maximum period of twenty-one days to be counted for one month, both for the public service of collective passenger transport.
The transport units must have valid circulation card, a line duly authorised by the Deputy Minister of Transport, an electronic mechanism, a GPS system and a validator that allows both the Vice-Ministry of Transportation and the concessionaires and/or service members
public passenger transport, for control and payment purposes, to account for the passengers mobilised. The aforementioned microbuses and buses must be operating the service. "
Art. 2.-TRANSITIONAL. The units that provide the collective transport service in the metropolitan area of San Salvador will have 90 days counted from the time of this Decree, to implement the mechanisms that allow the accounting of mobilized passengers; during this period, they will be able to acquire the benefits of the subsidy established for the rest of the country.
Art. 3.-This Decree will enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
