1. II. that by means of Legislative Decree N ° 902, date 3rd November in the year two thousand eleven, published in the official journal N ° 223, volume N ° 393, dated November 29, 2011, was created the "order of merit November 5, 1811, heroes of the independence of the homeland" of the Legislative Assembly, in order to recognize and reward the men and Salvadoran or foreign women who are differentiated for eminent services to the homeland.
III.-that the Dr. María Isabel Rodríguez, Salvadoran national, graduated as a doctor in medicine from the University of El Salvador in 1948 and postgraduate in cardiology and physiological Sciences at the Institute national of Cardiology of Mexico, is a professional who has stood for excellence in the field of medical sciences, whose contributions in this branch have been of great value to the Salvadoran people and society in general Standing out within his strong track record and experience as a teacher, for his role as teacher and researcher of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of El Salvador, working on the orientation of the teaching of Physiology and pharmacology to students of medicine and dentistry, designing and running postgraduate training for Central American students and teaching several courses in the field of physiological Sciences for the training of specialists.
IV.-that the Dr. María Isabel Rodríguez, is an extraordinary academic woman, whose projection as a professional and Salvadoran, it have made worthy of countless awards, with which it has awarded the dedication and care with which develops each of their projects, contributing in this way to the Salvadoran culture and putting on high the name of our country through the creation of around three hundred patents and publications , which have been distributed in the following way: production related to basic and clinical biomedical research in the Cardiovascular Area; Development of human resources for health; Publications in medical education, training, curriculum design, and investigation of health staff; Public health and Social Medicine; International health; Human resources and reform of the Sector; and University and health of the population.
