DECREE NO 139

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinal 22 ° of the Constitution of the

Republic, it is the faculty of this State Organ, to grant to persons or populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratifications, compatible with the form of government established, for relevant services provided to the Homeland.

II.-That article 6, literal c) of the Law of Honorific Distances, Gratitude and Titles, states that the honorable and Distinguished distinctions of Notable and Distinguished or

Distinguished, in their order of relevance, may be awarded to Salvadoran or foreign residents, when the services or contributions that have been provided to the Homeland, are related to the dissemination and exploitation of science,

art, culture, education and sport or any other another form of altruistic or collective service; in such a way that it represents an undeniable benefit for the Salvadoran State or its inhabitants.

III.-That the athlete Juan Pablo Galvez Sagastume, born on September 18, 1971 in the City of San Salvador, has been dedicated for more than twenty years to reap sports triumphs in the Triathlon disciplines (swimming, cycling

and career); Pedestres de Median and Long Distance Racing, Adventure Sports and Route and Mountain Cycling.

IV.-That his outstanding career as a sportsman, has allowed him to participate at various international sporting events as a representative of our country among those who may mention: Mexico Marathon, August, 2014; Media

Ironman, Latin American Media Ironman Tournament 70.3 Panama, February, 2014; Half Marathon, Rock & Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon, October, 2013; Ultra Marathon, 28th Edition of the Marathon des Sables, April, 2013; and, Marathon

ING Miami Marathon, January, 2013.

V.-That by virtue of the merits mentioned above, it is appropriate to award the Distinction

Honorific of "DISTINGUISHED SPORTSMAN OF EL SALVADOR", to the athlete Juan Pablo Galvez Sagastume, who with his effort, dedication and dedication, has put in The name of El Salvador at the world level.
