DECREE NO 197
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That on July 17, 1998, was adopted in Rome, Italy, the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
II.-Which in June 2010, were adopted in Kampala, Uganda, the Amendments to the Rome Statute: 1) To Art. 8 and 2) Those relating to the Crime of Aggression.
III.-That the Instruments referred to in the foregoing Considerations have been approved by Executive Agreement N ° 713/2014 of 19 May 2014,
and subject to consideration of this Legislative Assembly for its ratification.
IV.-That the ratification of the Rome Statute and its Amendments is consistent with the
international commitments made by the country at the multilateral and regional level, especially the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, the Convention for the Prevention and the Healing of the Crime of Genocide of December 9, 1948, and the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and its Protocols
Additional, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic Rights, Social and Cultural and the American Convention on Human Rights, among others.
V.-That the ratification of the Statute affirms the will of the country with respect to the most serious crimes of transcendence for the international community in its
as a whole, they must not go unpunished and the guilty must be effectively subjected to the
VI.-That said Statute and its Amendments do not contain any provisions contrary to the Constitution, being ratified.

DECRETA:
Art. 1.-The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court,
Rome, Italy, on 17 July 1998, which consists of a preamble and 128 articles and amendments to the Statute of Rome: 1), is ratified in all its parts: concerning the Crime of Aggression; adopted in Kampala, Uganda in June 2010; approved in all its parts by the Executive Body, by Agreement N ° 713/2014 of 19 May 2014.

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
