DECREE NO 269

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That pursuant to Article 131 Ordinal 22 ° of the Constitution, it is up to the Legislative Assembly to grant to persons or populations,

titles, honorary distinctions and gratifications compatible with the form of government established.

II.-That the Municipality of Nuevo Cuscatlán, Department of Freedom, at present has achieved remarkable progress, because it has the necessary public and private services for the well-being and development of its inhabitants;

complying with the requirements established in the Law of Honorific Distances, Gratitude and Titles, to raise its current category to that of City.

III.-That for the reasons above, the Municipality of Nuevo Cuscatlán, Department of Freedom, gathers conditions to grant you the City Title.

DECRETA:

Art. 1.-Grant the City Title to the population of Nuevo Cuscatlan, Department of Freedom.

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Journal
