DECREE NO 422

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinary 11 ° of the Constitution, it is the faculty of this Legislative Assembly to decree, in a general manner, benefits and tax incentives or of any nature, for the promotion of cultural, scientific, agricultural, industrial, or other activities.

II. by Legislative Decree No. 413 dated September 9, 1971, published in Official Journal No 171, Volume N ° 232, of 21 of the same month and year, was declared on 22 October of each year "National Capiculture Day", without suueto, and was carried out to designate the Salvadoran Coffee Research Institute to coordinate with entities linked to coffee production and industry in the country, the celebration of such a date.

III. International Coffee, as well as twenty-six coffee associations from around the world, joined efforts to the first "International Coffee Day" was held on October 1, 2015.

IV.-That in view of the fact that coffee is one of the crops that the greatest economic and environmental benefit brings to the country in general and to the groups that participate at the particular level, it becomes necessary for the State of El Salvador to grant its public recognition to the national coffee culture, declaring for this effect in our country, one of October of each year as "Day of the National Capiculture."

FOR TANTO,

in use of its Constitutional powers and on the initiative of the President of the Republic, through the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-Declare one of October of each year as "National Capiculture Day", without asueto.

Art. 2.-To appoint the Salvadoran Coffee Council, as the superior authority in the field of coffee policy and other activities related to the coffee industry, to coordinate and carry out in conjunction with public and private entities linked to the coffee culture, the celebration of "National Capiculture Day", with the relevance it deserves, through technical and informative events.

Art. 3.-Defeat Legislative Decree No 413 dated September 9, 1971, published in Official Journal No 171, Volume No 232 of 21 September 1971.

Art. 4. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
