1 DECREE No. 293

THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I.- by Legislative Decree No. 477, dated October 19, 1995, published in the Official Journal No. 212, Volume No. 329, November 16
that same year, the Law on Land Transportation, Traffic and Road Safety was issued.
II.- by Legislative Decree No. 1188, dated March 5, 2003,
published in the Official Gazette No. 49, Volume No. 358; 13 of the same year, reforms to the regulatory body referred the sanctioning procedure for its
taxation and related resources were approved in order to explicitly establish infringements.
III.- today, we have identified a number of behaviors that constitute
factors that aggravate the complicated traffic situation nationwide, especially in the metropolitan area of ​​San Salvador, because of the extreme concentration of vehicles in that area.
IV.- That the different DGs of the Vice Ministry of Transport, to the traffic problems in the area referred to, have issued certain resolutions by which the circulation of certain types of
motor vehicles is restricted, such as those They engaged in cargo transportation.
V.- That lack of compliance with the aforementioned resolutions by
transport drivers generally be regulated or not classified as a traffic ticket, it makes most drivers ignore to such resolutions.
VI.- By virtue of the foregoing, the fact disobey
resolutions issued any of the competent authorities of transit becomes necessary to amend the Act referred to above, bringing to the category of traffic offense.
THEREFORE,

DECREES THE FOLLOWING:
AMENDMENTS TO THE LAW OF LAND, TRANSPORT AND ROAD SAFETY TRANSIT
