Law on the review of the law on television and the processing of personal data

(Extension of access to the public service television network)

We, by God's grace, the Queen of the Danes, do our thing.

The parliament has adopted the following law, and we know that the following law has been approved by Parliament's consent :

§ 1

In the act of law on television, cf. Law Order no. 1190 of 11. October 2007, as amended by law no. 713 of 25. June 2010 is amended as follows :

1. After Section 2 is inserted :

" § 2 a. A municipal management board may after discussion with the Commissioner for the purpose of promoting the safety of television monitoring of public street, road, space or similar areas, which are used for ordinary traffic and which are located in close ties with one ; territory that television is monitored in accordance with section 2 (2). TWO. "

§ 2

Law no. 429 by 31. May 2000 on the processing of personal data, as amended by Section 2 of Law No 503 of 12. In June 2009, the following changes are made :

1. After section 26 c, pasted into Chapter 6 (a) :

" § 26 d. A municipality may only process image recordings with personal data that are included in connection with television surveillance covered by § 2 a on TV monitoring, if

1) the data subject has given express consent to the treatment or

2) the treatment shall be made in order to promote the security of persons who are in the television monitored area.

Paragraph 2. Exceptions referred to in paragraph 1. 1 may be disclosed in the cases referred to in section 26 (a) (1). 1.

Paragraph 3. Exceptions referred to in paragraph 1. 1 shall be deleted no later than 30 days after the recordings have been made. ` ;

§ 3

The law shall enter into force on 1. July, 2011.

§ 4

Paragraph 1. The law does not apply to the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

Paragraph 2. The law can, by means of a royal device, be put into force for Greenland, with the deviations from which Greenland's conditions are worded.
