Decree on the implementation of the commemorative coins on the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 70th-birthday
WE, MARGRETHE the SECOND, by the grace of God Queen of Denmark, do indeed:
Under section 2 (1) and (3) of law No. 817 of 21. December 1988, Coinage, and after negotiation with the Danmarks Nationalbank fixed: § 1. On the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 70th-birthday 16. April 2010 translated three commemorative coins.
(2). That reflected a coin denominated at 20 dollars of aluminum bronze (92 weight parts copper, 6% aluminum and 2 weight parts parts nickel) and of the following size and weight: Diameter:
27.0 mm
Weight:
9.3 grams
The coin should have the following characteristics: 1)
On the cover:
Her Majesty the Queen's portrait in profile facing right. Along the rim: the QUEEN of DENMARK MARGRETHE II. Between II and DANISH are nested mint mark, a heart.
2)
On the back:
In the Middle, the Royal arms, as in the background is surrounded by daisies and encircled by a ring. Along the rim, to the left and to the right: 2010:1940. At the bottom: 20 KRONER.
3)
Coin minted with interrupted rifling.
(3). That reflected a coin denominated at 500 dollars of fine silver (99 weight parts silver) and of the following size and weight: Diameter:
38.0 mm
Weight:
31.1 grams
The coin should have the following characteristics: 1)
On the cover:
Her Majesty the Queen's portrait in profile facing right. Along the rim: the QUEEN of DENMARK MARGRETHE II. Between II and DANISH are nested mint mark, a heart.

On the back:
In the Middle, the Royal arms, as in the background is surrounded by daisies and encircled by a ring. Along the rim, to the left and to the right: 2010:1940. At the bottom: 500 CROWNS.
3)
Coin minted with a smooth edge.
(4). That reflected a coin denominated at 1000 crowns of gold (90 parts gold, 5 silver and 5 parts by weight weight parts copper) and of the following size and weight: Diameter:
22.0 mm
Weight:
8.65 grams
The coin should have the following characteristics: 1)
On the cover:
Her Majesty the Queen's portrait in profile facing right. Along the rim: the QUEEN of DENMARK MARGRETHE II. Between II and DANISH are nested mint mark, a heart.

§ 2. This Decree shall enter into force 15. January 2010.
