Under section 7 (1) and § 118, paragraph 8, in the highway code, see. lovbekendtgørelse nr. 1058 of 4. November 2008, fixed:

Chapter 1

Conditions for making rapid reaction drive

§ 1. Reaction drive may only be carried out when deemed necessary in the interest of police tasks, person rescue, fire, pollution incidents, traffic accidents or averting severe damage in General.

Chapter 2

Approval and registration of emergency vehicles

§ 2. A motor vehicle must, in order to be able to make emergency drive be approved for this purpose and be registered as an emergency vehicle, see. However, § 3.

(2). Approval of a motor vehicle to the emergency drive is a prerequisite for ensuring that the vehicle can be registered as emergency vehicle. The approval shall be carried out by a Visual company. Motor vehicles belonging to the armed forces, approved by the Materiel service. Authentication can also be done by, to a vehicle type approved to the standard ambulance services.

§ 3. The requirements in section 2 concerning the approval and registration does not apply to the following vehicles:





1) Motor vehicles belonging to the police and is normally used to control drive and similar purposes and only in exceptional circumstances for emergency services.

2) Motor vehicles for road traffic Act section 7 (4), while driving in a single case is assimilated to an emergency vehicle.





§ 4. As emergency vehicles can be registered motor vehicles belonging to:





1) Police,

2) defence,

3) the governmental or municipal rescue preparedness, or

4) efforts of the leaders of the Municipal Council is appointed to carry out the management of the technical effort on an injury site.





(2). National Commissioner may allow the motor vehicle that belongs to other public authority, as well as ambulance, rescue vehicle or a similar vehicle belonging to private, registered as emergency vehicle.

Chapter 3

Emergency signals

§ 5. Motor vehicles that are registered as emergency vehicle, shall be fitted with one or more blue emergency lights that comply with the provisions of the Ordinance on detailed rules for vehicles, furnishings and equipment.

(2). Emergency vehicles must be fitted with one or more emergency horn, complying with the provisions in the Ordinance on detailed rules for vehicles, furnishings and equipment. National Commissioner may allow emergency vehicles, which are covered by section 4, paragraph 2, shall be approved and recorded without being provided with emergency horn.

(3). Lamp bridges with emergency signals on motor vehicles belonging to the police or the State emergency preparedness, and which has been approved for emergency driving, can be removed by some sort of drive.

(4). National Commissioner may allow additional audio signals used in special situations.

§ 6. Motor vehicles of police used to control drive and similar purposes and only occasionally for emergency driving, can be equipped with emergency signals.

§ 7. Emergency lamp must be used during emergency driving. Emergency lamp can also be used during stopping at the accident site or the like.

(2). Emergency horn to be used during the emergency drive, unless the application of the emergency lamp as the case may be deemed sufficient to warn other road users. Do not use different emergency horn at the same time while driving.

(3). Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 2, use of emergency lamp and emergency horn may be omitted by reaction drive with motor vehicle belonging to the police, provided that such failure is deemed necessary for the purpose of the reaction batch job, and the circumstances, moreover, do not speak against it. Chapter 4

Rules of the road

(2). However, the driver must always comply with the instructions of the traffic, which is given by the police or others, as the Minister of Justice has the authority to regulate the traffic. (3). section 8 (1) (8). 1-3, (2) and (3) shall apply mutatis mutandis under emergency driving on bike.

(4). Under the section 8, paragraph 1, under the conditions laid down under the emergency, the driver can drive on a bicycle also fail to follow the rules in Chapter 7 on special rules of the road for bicycles.

Chapter 6

Penalty

§ 10. Violation of § 1, § 2, paragraph 1, section 5 and § § 7-9 are punishable by a fine.
