The Czech Statistical Office pursuant to § 7 para. 2 of Act No. 89/1995 Coll., on

the national statistical service, and following the entry into force of the constitutional

Act No. 135/2011 Coll., amending Constitutional Act No. 347/1997 Coll., on

the creation of higher territorial self-governing units and on the amendment of the constitutional

the Czech National Council Act No. 1/1993 Coll., Constitution of the Czech Republic, in the

amended by Constitutional Act No. 176/2001 Coll., on 1 January 1993. August 2011, announces

Update nomenclature of territorial statistical units (hereinafter referred to as

"classification CZ-NUTS"), established by the communication of the Czech Statistical Office

No 490/2003 of 18 June 2003. December 2003 and updated communication

The Czech Statistical Office no 228/2004 of 14 July 2004. April 2004 and

the Czech Statistical Office's communication No. 201/2007 Coll. of 26 March.

July 2007.



Update Classification CZ-NUTS is changing the name of the statistical

the territorial units NUTS 3 "Highland" to "Country". Flag code, valid

for this region, remains unchanged.



Valid text of the updated classification CZ-NUTS will be available on the

www.czso.cz.
