81/1997 Coll. of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informs that on 27 September 1996, the Republic of Finland withdrew into force of the Agreement between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Finland on economic, industrial and technical cooperation, signed in Prague on 1 March 1971. The Agreement, in accordance with the provisions of their Article 7 expired in relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Finland on 27 March 1997. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed his respect for the Embassy of the Czech Republic and has the honor to refer it to the Agreement on economic, industrial and technical cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Finland, signed on March 1 , 1971. Pursuant this Article 234 Two of the Treaty: The rights and obligations arising from agreements II before the entry into force of this Treaty between one or more Member States, on the one hand and one or more third countries on the other provisions of this Agreement shall not be affected. If these agreements are incompatible with this Treaty, the Member State or States concerned shall take all appropriate steps to eliminate the incompatibilities. If necessary, the Member States shall assist each other achieve it goals, and possibly adopt a common position. In the implementation of the agreements referred to it in the first paragraph, the Member States will take into account the fact that the advantages card accorded under this Treaty by each Member State form an integral part of the establishment of the Community and are therefore inseparably linked with the creation of common institutions, the conferring of powers upon them and the granting of the same advantages card by all the other Member States. With effect from 1 February 1995 in relations between Finland and the Czech Republic Europe Agreement applying the establishing an Association between the European Communities and their Member States, on the one hand and the Czech Republic on the other hand, signed on October 4, 1993. The Ministry therefore has the honor it inform the Embassy of the Czech Republic, the Government of Finland has decided to terminate the Agreement on economic, industrial and technical cooperation signed between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Finland, March 1, 1971, pursuant Article 7 it of this Agreement. According to this article, this Agreement shall be valid for five years. Then it shall automatically be extended for one year, unless one of the parties denounces it six-month notice period. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would appreciate written confirmation from the embassy on receipt of this note. Copies of those provisions of the Agreement on economic, industrial and technical cooperation and the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community are attached.
