cooperation and mutual assistance between the Czechoslovak Socialist
Republic and the German Democratic Republic.

CONTRACT
of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between the Czechoslovak
Socialist Republic and the German Democratic Republic
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the German Democratic
Republic,
Reaffirming the objectives and principles expressed in the Declaration of the Government of the Republic
Czechoslovak and the provisional Government of the German Democratic Republic
on June 23, 1950,

Article 1
The High Contracting Parties will, in accordance with the principles of the Socialist
internationalism to deepen friendship, enhance cooperation in all
areas and help each other on the basis of equality, respect for
sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of the other party.
Article 2
The High Contracting Parties shall, on the basis of friendly cooperation and
mutual benefits to develop and consolidate economic and scientific and technological
relations, take place in accordance with the principles of the Council of mutual economic

Article 3
