on the agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government

Polish people's Republic concerning cooperation in the field of tourism



16 December 2002. June 1986 in Warsaw was the agreement signed between the Government of

The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Polish people's Republic

on cooperation in the field of tourism. Agreement entered into force on

the basis of its article 13 on the day 15. September 1986.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The agreement



between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Poland

's Republic of China on cooperation in the field of tourism



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Polish people's

Republic (hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting Parties"),



-in accordance with the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between the

The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Polish people's Republic,

signed at Brussels on 1. March 1967 in Warsaw,



-aware of the importance of tourism for deepening of the friendship of the people

the two countries,



-in order to create the citizens of both States with the best possible conditions for the

hiking trails, contributing to the improvement of the mutual knowledge of life

the people of both countries, their history as well as the results achieved in building

socialism,



have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall cooperate in the field of tourism to

basis of equality and mutual benefit and to promote harmonious

the development of tourism between the two countries.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall pay special attention to the particular development:



-organized tourism workers and other races

Socialist organizations



-paths on the basis of town-contacts between regions, towns, factories and in other

Socialist organizations



-Tourism of children and youth,



-themed professional tours, including trips to congresses, symposia,

trade fairs etc.,



-tours on sports and cultural events,



as well as other tours organised by travel agencies.



Article 3



Authorities of the two States, working in the field of organized tourism

will seek to:



-upgrading of tourist programmes with a view to improving the availability of

tours with thematic content,



-enrichment charges tour operators about socio-educational elements,



-raising the level and quality of services.



Article 4



The Contracting Parties shall promote the development of direct contacts and cooperation between the

authorities of the two States involved in tourism, immigration,

Foreign Exchange and customs controls, as well as transport.



Authorities of the two States in the region for Passport, currency and customs control

they will inform each other in good time of the provisions binding for tourists

coming to their country and their changes.



Article 5



Authorities of the two States involved in the transport sector are effort to

improving road, rail and air traffic between the two countries and

facilitating the transit of citizens of another State when travelling to a third country.

Specific modes of transport will be to negotiate the appropriate authorities of the two

States.



Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the exchange of experiences from different regions

Tourism, including the exchange of personnel of the Central and other authorities

Tourism, scientists, workers, travel agents, hotels and

restaurants, as well as workers from other areas related to

tourism.



The conditions of exchanges of experts from the field of tourism will be adjusted

Article 7



In order to deepen the knowledge about the country of the other party will both

about tourism, publication of information materials and the broadcast

information and promotional activity.



Article 8



The Contracting Parties shall encourage and facilitate the activities of the institutions represented

Tourism, the second State on its territory.



Article 9



The Contracting Parties shall assist each other and exchange information in

matters relating to multilateral forms of international cooperation

in the field of tourism, including activities and membership in international

tourism organizations.



Article 10



The Contracting Parties shall create the necessary economic conditions for the development of

mutual tourism.



Remuneration for mutual tourism will be carried out in accordance with contractual arrangements

valid between the parties and in the manner agreed between the

the tax authorities of both Contracting Parties.



Article 11



The Contracting Parties shall promote the paths of tourists from third countries into the

CSSR or PLR carried through travel agencies and

they will promote their cooperation in the recruitment of those tourists.



Article 12



The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties will be tourism, conclude

protocols for the implementation of this agreement; at any time it deems necessary,

they will evaluate its performance and the progress of mutual tourism.



Article 13



This agreement is subject to approval in accordance with the legislation of each of the

the Contracting Parties and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of notes confirming its

approval.



Article 14



The conclusion of this Agreement does not undermine the force of the Convention between the Czechoslovak

Republic and the Polish people's Republic on the border traffic of 4 February.

July 1959 and the agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist

the Republic and the Government of the Polish people's Republic concerning the facilitation of travel

Article 15



This agreement is concluded for a period of five years and will be automatically extended

for a further five years, unless terminated in writing by one of the Contracting

the parties, no later than six months before the expiry of the relevant period
