on the agreement between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Bulgaria
Republic of Algeria on cultural cooperation
On 22 November. May 1965 in Prague was signed agreement between the Czechoslovak
Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the people's Republic of Bulgaria concerning the cultural
cooperation.
The agreement on the basis of article 16. paragraph 1, entered into force on
May 22, 1965.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Bulgarian folk
Republic on cultural cooperation
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Bulgarian folk
States desiring to deepen and consolidate friendly and
brotherly relations between the peoples of the two countries, based on the principles of
proletarian internationalism, aiming for a further extension of the versatile
cooperation and mutual assistance between socialist countries and the consolidation of
their ideological unity in the spirit of the principles of Marxism-Leninism and desiring to
to foster the development of the Socialist construction and the cultural revolution in both
also the way of self-determined and centrally planned economy developing of mutual
contacts and cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, art, the press,
radio, television and sports, have decided to conclude an agreement on cultural
cooperation and to this end have designated as their agents:

who, having exchanged their full powers, found in good and due

Article 1
The Contracting Parties shall do its best to assist it to have been used by all
mass promotion and education to meet the widest possible
circuit working with political, economic and cultural life of the second
the country, as well as with the results obtained in the development of the Socialist

Article 2
Cooperation under this agreement will be purposeful and plánovitá.

Article 3
1. the Contracting Parties shall promote the development of direct cooperation and exchange of
experience in the field of education. Special attention will be paid to
organisation of the education system and its content. The two Contracting Parties, therefore,

Article 4

Article 6
1. The Contracting Parties shall ensure cooperation in the fields of science, by consistently
the deepening of mutual scientific relations based on its own
plans of scientific research, as well as the coordination and Division of activities in
the implementation of basic scientific research directly between the scientific institutions
and the various scholarly institutions of both parties.

multilateral scientific cooperation between the socialist States.

and conferences.
4. The Contracting Parties shall also encourage the exchange of scientific and professional
works of art, magazines, and other learning and information materials, cooperation
in the area of publishing activities in the field of scientific literature, Exchange

Article 7
The Contracting Parties shall assist the citizens of their countries

Article 8
The Contracting Parties shall promote the exchange of radio and
television programs, program material, movie newsreels and
short and feature films, and to provide support for peer visits
radio, television and film workers and artists.
Article 9

the scientific life of the other country, as well as on cooperation between the two countries.

Article 10
1. the Contracting Parties shall promote cultural activities and information
centres of the other party.
2. the Specific scope of the condition of cultural and information centres,
as well as the scope of their activities will be adjusted between the parties

Article 11
1. the Contracting Parties shall encourage and allow direct contact and cooperation
between the social organizations of the two countries, in particular trade union
organisations, women's and youth organisations. For each of the forms of
cooperation in particular in the area of culture, arts and sports, the relevant

2. the social organizations of the Contracting Parties may, in their scope

Article 12
The Contracting Parties shall promote mutual relations in the field of body

Article 13

Article 15

Article 16
1. This agreement shall enter into force on signature.
2. The date of entry into force of this agreement, the agreement shall cease to
cultural and educational relations between the Republic of Czechoslovakia and
People's Republic of Bulgaria signed at Sofia on 20 April. June 1947.
3. this agreement is concluded for a period of five years. Its validity will be
to extend for a further five years, always, unless one of the Contracting Parties
notice in writing at least 6 months before the end of the ongoing five-year
period.
