Ministry of Foreign Affairs communicates the day 4. in January 1993, the Czech
Republic has requested the Secretary-General of the United Nations
admission to membership of the United Nations and declared its
readiness to recognise and fulfil the obligations contained in the Charter of the Organization
the United Nations agreed in San Francisco on 26 April. June 1945.
On the recommendation of the Security Council of the United Nations, adopted by the
resolutions S/RES/801 of 8 June. in January 1993, the General Assembly of the Organization
the United Nations at its 47. meeting on 19 December. January 1993 by resolution
A/RES/47/221, decided, in accordance with the provisions of article 4, paragraph 2. 2 of the Charter

On 20 April. December 1965 was on XX. meeting of the General Assembly
The United Nations adopted resolution 2101 (XX) on the amendment to article
109 of the Charter of the United Nations.
With the amendment to article 109 of the Charter of the United Nations have expressed their
the consent of the National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the
President of the Republic ratified the amendment. The ratification Charter

Amendment to article 109 of the Charter of the United Nations, entered into
into force by virtue of article 108 on 12 June 2006. and on this day June 1968
entered into force for the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.
Article 109 of the Charter of the United Nations was according to the amendments adopted
modified as follows:
In article 109, paragraph 1, the word "seven" in the first sentence is replaced by:
"the nine".
On 20 April. December 1971 was the XXVI. meeting of the General Assembly
The United Nations adopted resolution 2847 (XXVI) of the change (new
the text of article 61 of the Charter) of the United Nations.) amendments to articles 23,
27 and 61 of the Charter of the United Nations, adopted by the XVIII. By the General
the General Assembly of the United Nations on 17. December 1963
resolution No 1991/XVIII A and B have been promulgated under no. 127/1965 Coll.
With the amendment to article 61 of the Charter of the United Nations have expressed their
approval of the Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the
President of the Republic ratified the amendment. The ratification Charter
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic to the amendment to article 61 was saved
with the Secretary-General of the United Nations on 4 December 2002. February 1974.
Amendment to article 61 of the Charter of the United Nations entered into force
on the basis of article 108 on 24. September 1973 and for the Czechoslovak
Socialist Republic entered into force on 4 July 2003. February 1974.
Article 61 of the Charter of the United Nations was according to the amendments adopted
modified as follows:
1. the economic and Social Council shall consist of fifty-four members
The United Nations elected by the General Assembly.
2. subject to the provisions of paragraph 3 will be voliti per year after eighteen
members of the economic and Social Council for a period of three years. The withdrawing
a member can vote again.
3. At the first election after the increase in the number of members of the economic and Social Council of
Twenty-seven to fifty-four members will be in addition to the members elected in place of
those nine members whose official period in this election is over,
selected twenty-seven additional members. Of these twenty-seven
the additional members will expire at the end of the period of nine official first year and
period at the end of the second year of the next nine, according to the arrangements laid down by the General
by the Assembly.
4. Each member of the economic and Social Council has one representative.
On the day of 19. in January 1993, the Czech Republic became a member of the Organization
the United Nations and is committed to fulfil the obligations contained in the Charter of
The United Nations, including the Statute of the International Court of
the Court agreed at the United Nations Conference on international
Organization in San Francisco on 26 April. June 1945 declared under no.
30/1947 Coll., as amended by the amendments adopted.

Minister of Foreign Affairs No. 30/1947, on the Charter of the United
Nations in article 41 in the second sentence has correctly stated: "can be between
them to be (i) complete or partial interruption of economic relations,..., "and
in article 42 in the second sentence should correctly be stated: "among such actions
may be a demonstration, ... ".
