on the Cultural agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the

On 11 July. October 1967 in Prague signed a cultural agreement between the Government
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of the Sudan.
According to article 14 of the Agreement entered into force on signature.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Sudan
Republic, guided by the ambition to extend cultural and scientific cooperation between the
the two countries in order to further develop the friendly relations and the strengthening of
mutual understanding between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the
The Republic of the Sudan, have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The two parties will strengthen cultural, scientific and artistic contacts
the exchange of information about research activities, the exchange of textbooks, publications,
information brochures, exhibitions, films, data on education, science, culture,
sports, press, radio, television, and other fields.
Article 2
1. the two parties shall promote cooperation in:

b) exchange of scientific, educational, cultural, artistic and sports
delegations;
(c)) the exchange of writers, journalists, correspondents and representatives of the press
offices.
2. Each Party shall provide in its territory to persons seconded

the conditions for the completion of the tasks.
Article 3
1. Each of the Contracting Parties to enable students of the other party
study at their schools and workers from the scope of the research professional education
in the respective higher education establishments and institutions.
2. Each Contracting Party shall provide the other Contracting Party in accordance with its
options for scholarships to study at their schools.
Article 4
1. both parties will recognize degrees, diplomas and certificates,
issued in the other country.
2. the comparability of scientific ranks and diplomas will be closed special

Article 5
The two parties will promote direct cooperation between universities
and scientific institutions of both countries.
Article 6
Both parties will encourage and facilitate cooperation between
cultural organisations of both countries.
Article 7
1. Each of the parties will support the issue of translation, as well as
the spread of books and publications on the historical development, the results achieved
development and activities in all areas of life to the other country.
2. the competent authorities of both Contracting Parties will cooperate in
the preparation of textbooks and teaching aids.
Article 8
The two parties will be mutually supportive and allow
and exchange of artists, orchestras) and files,
b) organizing exhibitions and lectures,
(c)) the exchange of records, tape recordings and artistic
publications,
(d) the exchange of professionals) of culture and art for the performance of professional
activity or the acquisition of qualification.
Article 9
The two parties will promote cooperation between the radio and
television institutions and organizations, the marketing of films of the other party,
the exchange of experts in the field of cinematography, the organisation of film festivals,
cooperation between libraries, museums and other institutions with a view to the exchange of
scientific material and periodicals.
Article 10
The two parties will work together and help each other in the framework of the
international scientific, educational and cultural organizations.
Article 11
The two parties will promote cooperation in sports organizations and
unions of the two countries and to provide mutual assistance in the preparation and
increasing the expertise of staff from this region.
Article 12
The two parties will allow the setting up of cultural and technical centres
on its territory in accordance with their national legislation.
Article 13
For the implementation of this agreement, the competent authorities of the Contracting Parties
to negotiate plans on the exchanges period of one or two years.
Article 14
This agreement shall enter into force on the date of signature and shall remain in force,
If one of the Contracting Parties denounces it in writing with a six-month
notice period.
Done in Prague on 11. October 1967 in two copies, each in the language
Czech and Arabic languages, both texts being equally authentic.
